California Bound

SOOO just to give everyone an idea...this is the beach we will live about 10 minutes from or maybe less depending on where we live. But yes, this will be in my backyard pretty much! Isn't it a beauty? Ben and I walked along this beach a couple weeks ago...and it'll be fun to have many more evenings like it!

The beach and ocean really are SO beautiful. Ben and I had this one (one of many) romantic night the night before we got engaged (this was almost our engagement story actually)...we were sitting on the beach in newport, watching the waves roll in. we had two glasses and a bottle of sparkling cider. there was a lot of fog that night so you couldn't see too far out into the distance, but we could see the little pier jutting out into the water. There was a bonfire going on behind us a little ways, and we could hear people playing drums and other music. There was barely a trickle of light from their fire so we could see quite well. Ben kept whispering in my ear, how much he loved me, and I can't describe how much more I fell in love with him that night. Sitting in such a beautiful place with hardly anything except the nature God blessed us with, enjoying the magic of the ocean waves. There's a reason everyone loves the beach...it's miraculous and beautiful! I'm glad I got to share that moment with Ben. And knowing there are so many more to come...how exciting! I'm just so grateful to have him and get to share the rest of eternity by his side. :)

Across the Universe!

So I had some time today to actually CHILL and I watched this movie that I've been wanting to watch for a long time! :) I think it was directed or created by the same people who did Moulin Rouge, so it's a musical type thing. It was really odd..but I liked it! Something you can't watch a LOT but it's a good weird movie when you have a lot of time!


In other news, I'm moving to California on Sunday to be FINALLY close to my love! We're SO excited to be together!!!! :) I love you Ben, I can't wait to come home to you!!!

Wedding Frenzy!

Well everyone, I'm officially the MOST indecisive bride EVER! I did a funny thing today! I bought a DIFFERENT wedding dress! I had mine at such a low price and the owners of Bridal Elegance are SO generous they let me have a discount on ANOTHER dress because I just kept picturing it differently. I was a nervous wreck last night because I kept thinking about how I had bought the WRONG DRESS!!! I loved my dress...but I was e-mailing Mikki my photographer, and when I was envisioning our bridal shoot, I was picturing me in another dress! So I went to the store today, tried it on, and bought it! Ben won't know what my dress looks like now! :) So I'm relieved and happy and in full wedding planning mode! Everyone sympathize and pray for my sanity! :)

CRAZY WEEK!!!

BEN AND I JUST SPENT A FUN WEEK TOGETHER IN CALIFORNIA! WE ARE PLANNING OUR FUTURE LIFE THERE, BUT BEFORE ALL THE PLANNING BEGAN,WE HAD A VERY FUN TRIP TO DISNEYLAND FOR VALENTINES!!! HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FUN PICTURES....

So after a really REALLY long night
the night before during which I spent 13 hours in the Las Vegas airport. If you ever want to feel within reach of insanity...try it! Ben joked that I should have kept a log of all the things that happened within that 13 hours, by videotaping myself. It would have been an interesting video to say the least. I cried three times (thanks to the birth control) and slept for 45 minutes before some idiot decided to play the slots! (at 5 a.m) Why did I have to be stuck in VEGAS of all places...the only one with slot machines! So lame. But I lived to tell about it :) Anyway, it was a long week full of fun AND stress! But I am officially moving to California in about two weeks! YAY!

APRIL 12TH!!!!

Well it's official!!! The wedding day isAPRIL 12th!!!!!! We will be married within the next 53 days! 8 weeks more and we'll be sealed together forever! YAY! So set aside the day in your calendars! :)

Updates

So this is the mock up of our announcement for our wedding that Ben made a little while ago! The info is likely to change a bit, and we are still waiting to set a date. Probably by the end of the weekend we'll decide...right Ben??? We found out NY hired someone who lived there already, and Ben was frustrated to hear them say that he WAS the best candidate for the job, they just needed someone who could start sooner. So it was all a matter of convenience. So we figure when they fire THAT guy, we'll move out there! :) So now we are plannin on starting our lives together in Orange County. I'm happy as long as we're together, no matter where that may be! If anyone wants to come visit us and go to Disneyland, feel free!

Well I wrote a sweet little poem for Ben a couple days before this picture was taken, but I think they kinda go together :) The picture is from when we went to dinner with Ashlee and Jeremy for their junior prom dinner...so fun!

You may never understand
How steep the climb

But in the end it led me to you

Free to wed!

Well after a LONG time of waiting...four months to be exact, I finally got the letter saying that my sealing was canceled and Ben and are free to get sealed anytime anyplace! It was really special. The picture is us reading my letter, with a sweet little tear about to slide off my cheek! :) We're both really happy, of course! :)

Hey everyone! :) I have decided to cross over to the world of blogging because it seems everyone else has already done so! It seems like a good way to keep in touch so I've started a blog for me and my soon to be hubby-Ben. We're getting married sometime soon, the date is yet to be determined...but this first picture is from our trip to New York where we had our engagements done! I hope to figure out how to use blogging soon so I can talk to everyone :)
