I really wanted to blog this the day of, or the day after, but it has been crazy busy, and I never have time to just sit down and do it. I don't really have the time now either...currently Connor is making his first real attempt at crying himself to sleep. I feel so bad...but I'm so exhausted. He hasn't stayed asleep for more than 30 minutes all day!
Ok but onto happier things. Connor Scott Tyrrel was blessed on February 7, 2010. I have the sweetest little boy..and I fell even more in love with him on Sunday. He woke up really late, like 10:15 and we had church at 11! I could NOT get him to wake up on his own so I sorta had to help him along. He was happy and smiley...
We got him all ready in the outfit his Grandma Tyrrel made for him and gave him for Christmas. He looked SO handsome! Thank you Grandma for making such a nice little suit for him to wear! It was so special to know you made it for him!
Connor was the absolute perfect baby all day. He was happy during the blessing, looking around and cooing at everyone holding him. My uncle Ed told me he sensed that Connor has a really special little spirit..that he's stood in a lot of blessing circles and could tell there was something neat about Connor. What a nice thing to hear as a mother! I know he's special, but I'm his mommy so that comes natural! :-)
So after being a champ during his blessing he needed to eat, but fell asleep on the way home..and slept for the first little bit of the after party! We had some family over (at my grandma's house...my house is too small!) for sloppy joes, chips and salad. Ben made the best Texas Sheet Cake as well! It was really a lot of fun to have the people we love there to support our little Connor!
I was filled with such gratitude and love for my son, and for my husband who honors his priesthood and was able to give Connor a name and a blessing. I've been so excited for this day, since I found out I was pregnant! Benjamin is such a good daddy...and I can't wait to see him grow in his abilities as Connor grows up!
I'm so grateful to be a mother and enjoy the AWESOME blessing of raising my new little baby boy. He's the light of my life, and the joy in each moment of my day. I love looking at him when he's sleeping and getting that flutter in my heart...knowing he's mine forever. I wish he could be a baby always, but I know as he grows I'll have even more fun with him!

Aw all those pics are so sweet! I especially love the last one with you and Connor. What a special day!!!
kirsten connor is adorable, we blessed kiptin on the same day too! and it was funny cause he had a bad week with crying all the time and being fussy that i thought he would be that day as well but he was SOOO content all day long, you could just tell that the spirit was with him all day, as it sounds like it was with connor as well!
Oh how cute! I'm glad the day turned out well!
Oh... what a great post, you look and sound so happy. Conner is darling by the way. I am sure you are such a great Mommy!
