Rememberies...

So a few days ago, August 18th to be exact..marks the three year anniversary of the day Ben and I met online. I get so overwhelmed when I think of how random and fated that evening was. I had attended Austin and Laura Cope's wedding reception, then had a date planned. My date fell through so I wandered onto and LDS dating site. I got annoyed with how hard it was to create a profile...so I just lazily logged in to LDSchat.com. I hadn't been on in years...like 7 years I think. Ben was logged in as "tenortoyourheart"..or tenor to your heart if that's hard to read ha ha. I started talking to him, figuring he was probably a singer so we might have something to talk about! Boy did we ever...we talked for something like 4 hours...and that evening I saved his number into my phone as "Ben Hubby"...it's still saved that way. I wanted to share some parts of our chat conversation which I am SO grateful Ben saved! There are both funny parts, and parts that just reveal why it was so easy to fall in love with each other. WELL if you read all of that I give you props! I had to leave out a LOT as you can figure...but Ben and I laugh so hard and really enjoy reading this once a year. I can't believe so much of my life has happened because of such a chance moment...

Beach Baby in Cali

We had such a fun time in California! I always enjoy visiting Orange County too, remembering the fun things we did when we lived there. This time Connor and I were alone in our adventures, since daddy had to prepare for an audit, which was the whole reason we went! Connor and I dropped off Ben and headed to my old office to visit my old friends there. Then we went to Pizza D'Oro to get some yummy pizza...mommy's fave. Then we went to Henry's, my favorite grocery store EVER. Got some gluten free stuff for daddy, then headed to the beach! We lucked out and got a parking spot in the shade, right around the corner from a nice sidewalk that led right to the water. It was a little hard balancing all the stuff and Connor without the help of Ben, but we managed and had a lot of fun! Right away I had to start snapping pictures...I can't get enough of this boy!!! He didn't smile for many pictures, he was WAY entertained and occupied with everything going on around him! He ate a LOT of sand..I was too busy taking pictures to stop him from eating every bite..ha ha.

We spent 4 days hanging out with Ben's family in Riverside and enjoyed some relaxation. I almost died when I realized I hadn't gotten a SINGLE picture with any of Connor's Tyrrel relatives. Well..I did get one of him with aunt Helen, but none with his grandparents, aunts, or cousin! I guess my excuse is that his cousin Tanner was sick so we had to keep the boys apart the whole time.. :( I hope we can get some soon though...I really feel bad!

As always the trip wore us out, mostly Connor who came home and got sick...but we had a lot of fun being around the other half of our family!





I also took some 8 month old pictures of Connor while we were there.


*He is doing some fun new things lately! He likes to make as many sounds with his mouth as possible..clicking his tongue, and other noises I don't know how to explain.
*He does the army crawl all over the place...I wish we had more carpet in our house for him to practice, but he's sorta limited!
*He CRACKS ME UP!!! He has the silliest personality and we will have total laughing fits together, over the simplest thing! I never knew having a baby could be so entertaining and fun!
* He says DA DA DA DA a lot...he likes to say it loud then whisper it. So cute!
*He has figured out that if he squeezes the nipple of his bottle it will squirt. I have cleaned a lot of milk off of his face lately..
*He finds toys that I have hidden out of his view. By toys I mean the remote, my cell phone, etc.

I'm sure there's a lot more but I can't recall what else is new from last month! We love our bubba...he keeps life SO interesting!

New...

I have to post a new post because every time I come to my own blog to do anything, I see the delicious pizza from Zion Pizza and Noodle...and it makes me wanna cry. Why? Because I've started the HCG diet. Yep. I'm attempting the "impossible". I say impossible because the longest I've ever stuck to a diet as strict as this is 6 days. Every time I've ever dieted this strictly, I lose it and eat whatever is in sight. Well...this will work for a few reasons. 1. We threw away ALL of our bad food. I'm talking all we have left is some cereal and spices. Our fridge currently has only veggies, meat and condiments. And I read that cheating even ONCE on this diet sets you back 3 days. I'm not going to suffer for 3 days as a result of a weak moment! I can't wait to be skinny...seriously. I've lost all my pregnancy weight, but I was already about 30 pounds overweight when I got pregnant. And I started gaining lately...so it's time to get SERIOUS!!!

I'm not going to post what I weigh...because you'd be shocked at how much of a fatty I am...but I will say that I'm excited to NOT weigh this ever again! I hope this will jump start me, I want to be healthy after this. I am WAY too dependent on sugar and diet coke. This is the best way to kick some pretty bad habits. So here we go...so far I'm down one pound. We'll see how tomorrow looks on the scale....
